The range of performance starts with consultation and covers all following steps in the procedure including processing right up to packaging to meet deadlines. Extensive logistics is also provided with digitised merchandise management and processing of exports. ‘Whether the corresponding parts go to New Zealand, Hong Kong or Moscow – if the customer wishes we’ll even deliver with a golden bow in a yellow container’, smiles Niederstein. And even if this statements isn’t to be taken too seriously, it still brings the demands of the company to the point: the main priority is providing the whole package for the customer and the aspiration of being a reliable partner. This fits in with the consequent strategic decision to concentrate on surface technology and the accompanying services, instead of also wanting to produce steel and metal products themselves. ‘We don’t want to go into competition with our customers,’ explains Niederstein, ‘we want to take care of our customers.’
